Movie Synopsis

Premiered at the NY Jewish FF in January, “Aulcie” documents the roller-coaster life of renowned player No. 8 of Maccabi Tel-Aviv, Aulcie Perry. It spreads from 1977 when Perry was spotted and recruited by a scout for Maccabi Tel-Aviv in Harlem through the 1980 when Perry and top model, Tami Ben-Ami, were the “Bradjolina” of Israel and continues beyond until today. The movie follows how Aulcie’s relationship with Israel and the Jewish people ultimately led to his conversion to Judaism and the adoption of the Hebrew name Elisha ben Avraham.
